Cape Velikan and the Birds cape

The cape Velikan (en. - "The giant") is a natural monument, and probably the most impressive place on the Sakhalin coast. It received its status as a natural monument of regional significance in 1990, and the cape is located in the Korsakovsky district on the eastern coast of the Tonino-Aniva peninsula.
Along the entire coast from the Birds cape to the cape Velikan there are many grottos created by wind and sea waves, caves, arches and pillars standing right in the sea, on which bird colonies are located. The views here leave no one indifferent!

07:00 - departure from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
10:00 - arrival to the Birds cape and safety briefing.
10:15 - hiking to the cape Velikan. The path passes through picturesque forest trails, overlooking the coast and rock formations. A story about the geological and natural features of the area.
13:30 - lunch in a tent by the sea. Dishes made from local products: fish, salads, sandwiches and tea.
14:30 - free time to relax and walk along the coast.
15:30 - gathering of the group and departure back to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
17:00-18:00 is the approximate time of return to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

Jacket, pants, cap.
Comfortable sports shoes. Sunscreen cream, insect spray, sunglasses.
