Kasatka Bay

During the Second World War, on November 26, 1941, from here (和名 Hitokappu) came the Japanese aircraft carrier squadron and support ships to defeat Pearl Harbor, the US naval base in Hawaii. A Japanese naval base with an airfield was located on the shore of the bay.
